Donations Now Accepted in Front Office for Houston-area Schools

CAE has been in contact with two charter schools in the Houston-area which sustained damage from Hurricane Harvey. We are collecting children's clothing, gift cards, and cash donations to send to help the families of these schools. Thank you for supporting our fellow Texans in their time of need!

Parents Night Out - Friday, September 15 from 6-10 p.m.

Let the CAH Dance Team give you a break while you relax, shop, go out and have fun, even just stay in and catch up on sleep. Please register at the Elementary or High School front office. We now have available our online ordering for school supply kits for next year. The deadline for ordering is JUNE 16th. Each kit contains the exact brand, quantity and color your teacher is requesting (excluding 3 ring binders and Dance, Theater and Violin classes for 3rd - 5th graders).

Message from the Food Service Director

Parents,
Please be sure your student's lunch account balance is paid before the last day of
school. Beginning next school year, we will only allow a student to
charge five meals which is $14.25. Any unpaid balances this year will
roll over to next year which will affect the student's ability to
charge. We will also no longer use MySchoolBucks and will be
switching to a new company (details coming soon!). Lunch account
balance letters will be sent home with students by Monday, May 15. Please check with your child to see if they received one. You may call or email me with any questions. Thank you! - Kelly Alsheikh, Food Service Director

5th Grade Theater Performances

The 5th grade theater arts students will be performing their play on Thursday, April 6 and Friday, April 7 at 6:30 p.m. at CAES. The play will last about 30-40 minutes. If your child is participating, he or she should arrive at 6 p.m. on show nights!

We are pleased to announce that Jennifer Whitehead has been selected as the new Principal of Cumberland Academy Elementary School. The search committee interviewed several qualified candidates and chose Mrs. Whitehead as the best fit for the position. We value her dedication to Cumberland Academy and look forward to her beginning in August.

Knights in Training Basketball Camp - February 11

When: Saturday, February 11 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. (camp)
Tuesday, February 14 at 6 p.m. (halftime performance)
Cost: $20 (includes T-shirt, junior basketball to keep, snack, and KIT admission to basketball game)
See registration form for more information. Deadline to register is Thursday, February 2 to allow time to order T-shirts and basketballs for the participants.
