Cumberland Academy is a public charter school that offers a unique educational experience to students in Smith and surrounding counties. Our school is tuition-free and open for enrollment to all. We provide our students with advanced technology, academic rigor, and extracurricular activities in academics, arts, and athletics. Applications for the 2024-2025 school year will be available at 10:00 AM on January 1, 2024.
The deadline to apply for the lottery is February 1, 2024, at 11:59 pm. Only one application is allowed per student. If you apply after February 1, your child will be placed on our waiting list. Once you submit your application online, you will receive a confirmation email within 3-4 business days to let you know that we have received your application.
Children who are planning to enroll in kindergarten must turn 5 years old on or before September 1st, 2024.
Currently Enrolled Students:
Attention all current students: You do not need to fill out the new application available on the website. However, if you are looking to enroll a sibling, please complete the online application. Please note that although siblings will receive priority over the public, it does not guarantee them a seat in the program.
